LINDY KLIM X VIKTORIA & WOODS

Much like an early morning yoga session, freshly brewed camomile tea, and light-streamed white washed bedrooms, the Lindy Klim x Viktoria & Woods collaboration, or anything V&W for that matter, beautifully embodies the purity and that clarity of mind that comes out of understated simplicity.

The 20-piece capsule collection is Lindy's first foray into fashion, and such a natural extension of V&W's existing offering. There are structured wool coats and boyfriend denim, sleek leather skirts and relaxed cotton designs - clean cuts and classic pieces that allow for versatility in an effortless kind of way. I sure am looking forward to further similar collaborations.

And as with any launch event, the vibe of the place is just about as important as the clothes themselves and this was one I truly enjoyed. A pop up coffee cart by Lovebird Cafe and FINN cold-pressed juice just about sealed the deal for me.

Thank you bonelpr & Viktoria & Woods for having me.

SPENCERLACY SS 12/13 'CALYPSO'

I attended Spencerlacy's Calypso Spring/Summer launch last week and was treated not only to vibrant prints, gorgeous silk pants and laser cut tops that promise to keep you cool on hot days, but also a sneak peek at their AW collection to follow! You should also know that I have a weak spot for compact little morsels that look as fantastic as they taste - those cocktail prawns with mango salsa on a crouton base should be on every cocktail party menu, pronto.

Topshop x Grazia: Step into Spring!

Topshop x Grazia presented 'Step Into Spring' at the Chapel St store last night, hosting an enjoyable evening of shopping alongside cocktails and canapes. We were also treated to a Spring Racing style session showcasing Topshop's latest arrivals - a range of peplums, clashing prints and textured offerings.

Guests were greeted at the store entrance with a overflowing selection of beautiful floral crowns by the lovely and talented Connie and her K is for Kani etsy pop-up store! I was more than happy to take a little wander around the store for a bout of shopping (seeing as the last time I visited Topshop was a few months ago in London), fell in love with an embellished top and floral pants, and redeemed myself a pretty crown too which I can't wait to sport all spring and summer long :)

Chadstone Vogue Australia Runway Show

I had the pleasure of being at the Chadstone Vogue Australia SS12 Runway Show on Wednesday night, when the shopping centre was abuzz with enthusiastic shoppers making the most of discounts on the Fashion Capital's VIP shopping night. Selections from the runway...

Cobalt - A colour I fall in and out of love with, and at the moment it's still sitting on the back burner, but I do like the head-to-toe blues nonetheless. Also works well with a nice tan, come summer!

Urban Nomad - These looks scream carefree and effortless, yet have so much appeal. All that double denim worked on the boys. So well. Throw in a casually-slung backpack over your shoulder and you're good to go.

Graphic Print - Went gaga over this one! I do love my prints - a good one just makes for so much immediate visual interest. Coordinate a two-piece or head for a mirrored print in a fitted dress (need to check out this Forever New one for myself). I shall sporting both these looks this summer!

Strong Elegance - THAT sheer organza dress by the one and only Lover is amazing up close. I had a look in David Jones and got a little too excited - it literally is a piece of art! I also have a thing for white.  Pleats definitely were a feature, and don't forget to colour your outfit :)

Age of Romance - Three faves by Lover, Sass and Bide, and Lisa Ho - you simply can't look past lace and sheer flowy skirts. To me they are just so strikingly feminine, and add just that extra bit of drama in an outfit.

It was a lovely, inclusive atmosphere, and most fantastic seeing that the runways had attracted a two-storey crowd. Thank you Chadstone for having me there and I'm looking forward to the next one already!
